Hyundai India is all set to launch the country's first fully connected mid-size sedan - the spirited new Verna - in the last week of March. Recently, the exteriors and interiors details of the ‘New Spirited Hyundai Verna’ have been revealed ahead of its launch. The mid-sized sedan comes with several aggressive updates to the exterior and a plethora of segment-first interior features. It comes with BS6 compliant powertrains that deliver superior power and performance. The new Verna Facelift will compete against the likes of Next-Gen Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, VW Vento and Toyota Yarris.
The cabin gets a upholstery with color combination options. Compared to its predecessor, the 2020 Hyundai Verna features a dashboard with faux wood trim along with new AC vents inspired by the one present in Second-Generation Creta. It features a full-digital instrument cluster that replaces the analog dials present in the pre-facelift Verna. It also gets a large touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other highlighted features include front ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, hands-free boot opening, and Arkamys sound system.
The mid-size sedan comes equipped with advanced BlueLink connectivity features. These features include engine start/stop, climate control, and door lock/unlock among others. Access Smart Watch Integrated Blue Link application provides seamless connectivity experience. Adding on to the versatility of the Blue Link, one can also find voice-enabled features. These include calling, weather check, time & date, tracking live cricket scores along with media control and map control. Now access these features just by saying “Hello Blue Link”.
On the exterior front, 2020 Hyundai Verna features restyled LED lamps, large cascading grille with dark chrome finish, an all-new front bumper with brushed aluminium inserts, and new alloy wheel. The rear end gets redesigned tail-light inserts and a mildly tweaked bumper.
2020 Hyundai Verna Facelift gets major changes under the hood. It comes with three BS6 compliant engines.There will be 1.5-litre petrol engine with 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox on offer. The diesel variants will be powered by a 1.5-litre engine with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter AT. There will also be a high-performance 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol engine mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
