2020 Ford Mondeo facelift has been revealed for the international market that comes with new styling changes, more features on offer and a new hybrid engine option. The new Mondeo has been updated for both sedan as well as station wagon models. The styling changes include new grille, revised bumpers and new LED headlights as well as tail lights, which makes the car look fresh.
Powering the Mondeo Hybrid Wagon is a 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine with an electric motor having 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. This hybrid motor produces a combined power output of 187 PS and it is mated to power-split automatic transmission. Featuring regenerative braking technology, Ford claims a fuel efficiency of 27.29 km/l for the new Mondeo.
It also comes with a 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine in three states of tune including 120 PS which is paired to a 6-speed automatic, 150 PS and 190 PS that are paired to a 8-speed automatic transmission. Some of the safety features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Stop & Go, Speed Limiter and Traffic Sign Recognition. We wish Ford offers such premium vehicles in the Indian market too.
