Yamaha has introduced the new MT-09 streetfighter in the Indian market, priced at Rs. 10.55 lakhs

Yamaha MT-09 has been launched in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 10.55 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Japanese motorcycle maker has introduced the MT-09 in India via CBU as a direct import. The new MT-09 will compete with the likes of Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple 765 and Ducati Monster 821 in India.

Powering Yamaha MT-09 is a 847cc, inline-3-cylinder engine that produced a maximum power output of 111 HP with a peak torque output of 87.5 Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and it comes with a one-way quickshifter. Yamaha Motor India is offering ABS as standard along with traction control system offering three riding modes.

The 2019 MT-09 comes with mild cosmetic changes compared to the previous version of the bike. It gets full-LED twin headlamps and comes with a sporty styling and muscular elements that looks aggressive. Yamaha is offering the new MT-09 in India with red/white and blue/black colour options to choose from.
