New Triumph Street Twin gets more power and some new features.

The British bike manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the updated version of the Street Twin at the 2018 Intermot. There are major updates in the engine of the Street Twin.

Powering the motorcycle is the same 900cc, parallel twin engine that produces 64 HP which is 18 percent more than the previous model. The redline of the new bike is 500 RPM higher. The torque figure remains the same at 76 Nm, but it now comes at 3800 RPM. Lighter crank, balancer shaft, magnesium cam cover and a lighter clutch are some other modifications in the engine.

The front brake has been updated to Brembo 4-piston calliper. The introduction of two riding modes – Road and Rain have been done in the Street Twin. The ABS on the bike can be switched off. The styling of the bike remains unchanged but there has been an improvement in the fit and finish of the bike. The seat gets a thicker layer of padding.

These same updates have been also done to the 2019 Street Scrambler. The Street Twin is one of the most selling bikes of Triumph in India. The new model will make its way to our shores after the European debut.
