Tata has launched the updated version of its compact sedan, Tigor with the beginning of the festive season.

Tata has launched the Tigor with the beginning of this festive season. The 2019 Tigor gets cosmetic tweaks both on the interiors and exteriors. However, the mechanicals will remain unchanged.

On the front, the dual chamber projector lamps give the car a very appealing look. The car now sits on dual tone 15-inch alloy wheels. The ORVMs now get integrated LED turn indicators with auto-retractable function. The updated model comes in six new paint options - Egyptian Blue, Roman Silver, Espresso Brown, Berry Red, Pearlescent White and Titanium Grey.

The quality of the materials used on the inside has been improved to provide a premium feel. The interior gets black and grey dual tone colour scheme. The seats are wrapped in titanium colour faux leather. The car comes with fully automatic temperature control (FATC). The 7-inch touchscreen infotainment gets Android Auto connectivity. The new Tigor comes with four speakers and 4 tweeters. 

The safety net of Tigor includes dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Corner Stability Control (CSC). There are two engine options on Tigor – 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and the 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel motor. Both the engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, Tata is providing an automatic transmission in the XZ variant of petrol Tigor called the XZA.

The Tigor will come in five variants – XE, XM, XZ, XZA and XZ+. The price range of new Tigor is from Rs. 5.20 lakhs to Rs. 7.38 lakhs. (Ex-showroom). The Tigor will take on the likes of Mahindra Verito Vibe CS, Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze and Ford Aspire.
