Suzuki is all set to sell the fourth-generation Jimny on the UK soil.

The Japanese carmaker, Suzuki has been making Jimny for nearly five decades, and now in 2018, it is in its fourth generation. Suzuki is all set to sell the fourth-generation Jimny on the UK soil. The small SUV is a very capable off-roader and comes with essential features.

The Jimny will be available in two variants – SZ4 and SZ5. The base SZ4 variants come with air-conditioning, autonomous-emergency braking, cruise control, DAB digital radio, a CD player, Bluetooth phone connectivity and front fog-lights. While the SZ5 sits on 15-inch alloy wheels and additionally gets privacy glass, climate control, a 7.0-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and navigation, LED headlights and heated front seats.

Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 101 BHP and 130 Nm of torque. The SZ5 trim comes with two transmission options – a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic gearbox, whereas the SZ4, is only available with 5-speed manual transmission. The SUV gets a selectable four-wheel drive system and includes driving and safety aids like hill descent control, lane departure warning, high-beam assist and six airbags as standard.

The SZ4 variant is priced at £15,499 (Rs. 14.09 lakhs), the SZ5 trim with a manual gearbox is available at £17,999 (Rs. 16.36 lakhs) while with automatic transmission the SZ5 will cost £18,999 (Rs. 17.27 lakhs). The Jimny is already being sold in various market across the globe but in India, it is expected to come in 2019. Moreover, the Jimny, if launched in India, will be sold in a 5-door version.
