Maruti Suzuki has today commenced the bookings of the third generation Wagon R, which is scheduled to launch on 23rd January. The new tallboy hatchback can be booked for Rs. 11,000/- across all Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships in the country. The new generation Wagon R will come with drastic changes including new design, new interior, more features, better safety and new engine as well.
In terms of design and styling, the new Wagon R gets a new design language that makes it look mature compared to the outgoing model. The car is even bigger in size to provide more space for the passengers and has a bigger boot. It will be offered with driver side airbag, rear parking sensors, ABS and EBD as standard across all variants along with speed warning system and seatbelt reminder.
The 2019 Maruti Wagon R is based on the new Heartect platform. It will be powered by the same 1.0-litre petrol engine and a new 1.2-litre petrol engine borrowed from the Swift. It will be available with both 5-speed manual and AMT transmission options. The Wagon R will also offer a new SmartPlay studio infotainment system that can let you stream music, surf news, get latest updates on weather and locate eateries around.
