About Aprilia Bikes

Aprilia was founded by Cavaliere Alberto Beggio as a bicycle production factory at Noale, Italy after the Second World War. When Ivano Beggio (Alberto’s son) took control of the company in the year 1968, the company launched its first 50cc motorcycle. The first production of mopeds made by Aprilia was named Colibrì, Daniela and Packi. In the current market condition, Aprilia is one of the renowned manufacturers of bikes and mopeds, it also is known for its superbikes that offer outstanding performance on the streets.

  1. Shiver 900: The Shiver 900 was launched along with the Dorsoduro 900 in the Indian market in the year 2017. It was launched as the replacement for the Shiver 750 in the international market. The shiver 900 made its debut at the EICMA 2016, where some details of the bike were revealed. The bike features a V-Twin engine, but it also features a comprehensive electronics package. The bike gets a new front mudguard, fuel tank cover, side panels and tail fairing that make it look sportier than the shiver 750. The bike has a  Longitudinal 90° V-twin engine, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, double overhead camshaft (DOHC) with mixed gear/chain timing system and can reach upto the top speed of 260 Kmph.

 

  1. Aprilia 900: The Dorsoduro 900 has a minimalistic approach, and it features some elements that take the riding experience to another level. The bike has a dirt styled bird beak front fender, flyscreen, cheek fairing, fuel tank and a long seat that gives the rider plenty of room while riding. The front fenders and squarish curvy headlamps give the bike the old supermotard look, while it also features the state of the art TFT instrument cluster placed behind the headlamp flyscreen unit. The bike features a V-twin engine that generates power upto 95.2 bhp power and 66.4 ft-lb of torque.

 

  1. Aprilia RSV4: The RSV4 is the most popular bike from the maker and has very successful racing heritage. The car was first introduced in the year 2009 and has evolved into a complete speed machine over the years. With modern technology and great looks, the RSV4 R APRC ABS is one of the best litre class bikes. The bike features a four-stroke longitudinal 1,000cc 65° V-4 cylinder engine that generates power upto 180bhp and 115Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox with a multi-plate wet clutch. At the front, the bike features three headlamps, the rear view mirrors are short and have clear lens turn indicators. The Aprilia RSV4 is available in two versions – R ABS and Factory ABS – both of which come with a set of aesthetics which differentiate them from each other.

Aprilia has just been introduced in the Indian market; it is expected that new Aprilia superbike models will also be released soon.
