Volvo is a Sweden based company owned by the Chinese conglomerate Li Shufu, it was established in the year 1927 and headquartered in Hisingen, in Gothenburg. Volvo Cars were founded as the ball bearing manufacturing SKF. When the company was introduced on the Stockholm Stock exchange in 1935, SKF sold most of its shares in the company which made Volvo a large shareholder. In 2015, Volvo sold more than half a million cars for the first time in its 89-year history. Volvo report sales from all three core regions of China, United States and Sweden. Volvo is known for manufacturing sport utility vehicles, station wagons, sedans and compact executive sedans.
