Newly established company Revolt is all set to come out with its first offering in the Indian market. The first product from the stables of the brand will be the RV400, an all-electric bike that the company is aiming to sell in huge numbers. The bike was recently unveiled in an event by the company and the pre-bookings for the first bike from the company are all set to start from the 25th of June. The bookings can be made online via the widely known e-com website Amazon. Note that the company has still not disclosed as to how big a hole will the bike burn in the pockets of its prospective owners.

Apart from being an all-electric bike, the biggest highlight of the Revolt RV400 has to be the internet connectivity features that it will come with. Not to mention that the brand is also touting the AI (Artificial Intelligence) features of the bike that will be powered by the same internet connectivity feature. The bike aims to remain connected via an integrated 4G SIM card that will come with the RV400.

Talking of the form factor of the RV400, it will be a naked street bike that comes with sharp styling all around. The seat a single piece unit and has room for a pillion rider. The suspension duties on the bike are handled by a monoshocker at the rear and upside down telescopic shocks at the front. The tyres are spoked units that contribute to the lower weight of the bike, given that it is an all-electric unit. The headlamps as well as the tail lamps are all LED units, something else that will increase the range of the bike as LEDs consume less power and are brighter.

Talking of the range of the bike, the company states that as per ARAI the range of the RV400 is around 156 kilometres. This range makes it ideal for city commutes and occasional highway runs. The bike is also targeted at similar users and the flat handlebar as well as relaxed ride posture of the bike indicates the same. The RV400 can hit a top speed of 85 kmph which is again more than enough for city rides. Not to mention that the top speed come on relatively quickly as the electric motor ensures instantaneous torque delivery. The company claims that the bike can be fully charged in 4 hours via a 15 amp socket.

Talking about the aforementioned connected features of the Revolt RV400, the bike comes with features like remote diagnostics, geo-fencing, cloud services and over-the-air updates. The AI feature in the bike will also monitor the riding pattern of the user and the insurance premium of the bike may go up or down depending on the same. The bike also comes with the option of removable battery that can be taken out and charged.

The company is also touting a battery delivery system wherein a fully charged battery of the bike can be ordered via their smartphone app at your doorstep. The app will also keep track of the battery swaps. Another service by the company will be battery kiosks where the user can obtain a fully charged battery as per the need. The kiosks can be tracked via their own smartphone app. Initially the bike will be launched in Delhi-NCR with other major city launches to follow soon. Expect to shell out around a lakh for the bike, although there is no confirmation on the same.
