Renault is considering to introduce the all-electric Kwid this year, which is almost done with the developing phase. The Kwid EV made its debut in its concept form at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. Apart from the electric powertrain, the Kwid EV will get many more changes in terms of design and features and it will be launched first in the Chinese market.

Expected to have a raneg of 250 kms, the new Renault Kwid EV is being developed with the French carmaker's Chinese partner Dongfeng under the eGT New Energy Automotive joint venture company. Full specifications of the car are not known yet but Renault plans to launch the Kwid EV in India by 2022 with an expected price of Rs. 6 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The French carmaker will differentiate the EV with the regular hatchback with cosmetic tweaks. The front profile of the Kwid EV will come with a revised grille and bumper devoid of air intakes. As we can see from the patent images, it will get LED headlamps as well as LED tail lights. There is a new pattern of alloy wheels on offer as well along with revised bumper at the rear.
