Maserati has unveiled the F Tributo Special Edition of two of its models - Levante and Ghibli - at the Shanghai Auto Show 2021. In F Tributo, 'F' stands for Fangio while 'Tributo' pays homage to his glorious victories in the past. Maserati Levante F Tributo and Maserati Ghibli F Tributo have been introduced in two exclusive colours namely Rosso Tributo and Azzurro Tributo. The company has commemorated Juan Manuel Fangio's victories driving the 250F on 17 January 1954 by unveiling these two special edition models.

The Rosso Tributo Red is the colour of Italian motorsports, and historically Maserati cars always raced in this paintwork. On the other hand, the Azzurro Tributo shade reminds that Blue is one of the colours (together with yellow) of the City of Modena, the Brand’s historic home. Further, in reference to Fangio's historic 250F which had a peculiar red and yellow livery, the company has equipped the F Tributo Special Editions with yellow colored brake calipers and wheel trims. The Levante F Tributo rides on 21-inch Anteo wheels which are finished in black while the Ghibli F Tributo is fitted with 21-inch Titano wheels in glossy black finish. The wheel arches of both the models flaunt a specific badge in glossy black.

To sum up the exterior styling, there is a trident logo in body colour on the C-pillar of both the Levante and Ghibli F Tributo Special Editions. The cabin is finished in red or yellow stitching, which is combined with the Black full-grain “Pieno Fiore” leather. For those asking, Maserati made its racing debut nearly 95 years ago on 25 April 1926 when the Tipo26 became the first racing car to bear the Trident on its bonnet. It won the 1500cc class at the Targa Florio with Alfieri Maserati at the wheel. It was 28 years later when the Italian brand entered the F1 arena with the 250F while Juan Manuel Fangio was behind the wheel of this iconic car and won Maserati several accolades in the world of motorsports.
