Maruti Vitara Brezza Facelift 2020 Launch on 6th of February

Maruti Suzuki will launch the Vitara Brezza facelift 2020 on the 6th of February in the Indian market. The facelifted SUV will get the BS6 compliant petrol engine while the diesel variants will be phased out. For those asking, it will be the first time that Maruti Vitara Brezza will be offered with a petrol engine as the ongoing range comes only with a diesel motor. It will lock horns with Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Ford Ecosport and Tata Nexon.

Speaking about the cosmetic updates, the New Vitara Brezza will flaunt a restyled front grille alongside bigger fog lamp units. The SUV will ride on newly-designed alloy wheels while gaining new color options. Its rear end is believed to feature a redesigned bumper to add freshness to the overall appearance of this SUV. Inside the cabin, it is expected to be packed with a plethora of new features in the form of cruise control, sunroof and touchscreen Smartplay infotainment system. The higher variants might also be equipped with 6-airbags as standard.

Mechanically, the Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift 2020 will be offered with the BS6 compliant 1.5L petrol engine which already does duties in the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Ciaz. The existing Fiat-sourced 1.3L DDiS diesel engine will not be updated to the BS6 emission and as a result will be discontinued. The new petrol engine could be available with a 5-speed manual and 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Recently, the SUV was spotted as test mule featured an SHVS badging at the rear, which indicates that it might come with a mild-hybrid system to accentuate the fuel economy.
