The Goa-based electric two-wheeler startup, Kabira Mobility has launched Hermes 75 at a starting price of Rs 89,600 (ex-showroom, Goa). The main aim behind launching this electric scooter is to overcome the limitations faced by the last-mile delivery industry. It has been designed and developed completely in India. Furthermore, the company claims that Hermes 75 is the first high-speed commercial delivery vehicle in the country. The Kabira electric scooter will be available in the showrooms from June 2021 onwards.

Kabira Hermes 75 has been designed for tough Indian conditions and rugged usage that last-mile delivery vehicles face on daily basis. In terms of features, the electric scooter gets a dual disc synchronized braking system, IoT, mobile app, and digital dashboard. It will ride on 12-inch tyres. Also, it is the first electric two-wheeler for commercial delivery to be approved under the FAME II Subsidy.

'Kabira Mobility is in sync with the Government of India's vision of providing green mobility to all. With the launch of Hermes 75, we intend to reach out to the last mile delivery partners and provide them eco-friendly mobility solutions. Low operational and maintenance cost will make it a right choice for the riders and partners as well,' as commented by Jaibir Singh Siwach, CEO of Kabira Mobility.

Performance-wise, Kabira Hermes 75 is powered by a 60V 40AH Li-ion battery with fast charging of 4 hours. The scooter comes with a 2500 watt DeltaEV hub motor that generates a peak power of 4000W. The maximum speed is pegged at 80 kmph which further makes the scooter the fastest electric commercial 2-wheeler in India. Besides these, Hermes 75 comes with both fixed and swappable batteries. The fixed battery model offers a range of 100 km and 120 km, while the swappable battery model has a range of 80 km under standard conditions.
