Cleveland CycleWerks have entered the Indian market with Ace Deluxe and Misfit motorcycles. Their first dealership has been inaugurated in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The Ohio, United States origin brand showcased a lineup of motorcycles at the 2018 Auto Expo. The bikes are currently launched as CKD units but they are planning for local production in India in the near future.
The Cleveland Ace Deluxe is priced at Rs. 2.24 lakhs while the Misfit has been priced at Rs. 2.49 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom). After localisation in India, the price of the bikes will further reduce. Both the bikes share the same engine which is a 229cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that puts out 15.4 BHP at 7000 RPM and 16 Nm at 6000 RPM.
The 229cc engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. In the braking department, the Ace Deluxe gets 298 mm disc at the front and 210 mm disc at the rear. The Cleveland Misfit gets a bigger 320 mm disc at the front and 220 mm disc at the rear. They both have a ground clearance of 150 mm. The Ace Deluxe weighs 133 kgs while the Misfit weighs 144 kgs.
