Aston Martin to race Valkyrie.

The carmaker could race with an adapted version of the Valkyrie at Le Mans. This is contingent on if the regulations are rewritten to allow race-modified versions of hypercars.

CEO Andy Palmer said, he had been consulted by the FIA on future regulations for sportscar racing. CUrrently, Toyota is the only works team confirmed to compete at the top LMP1 level after Porsche, Audi and Nissan have all withdrawn in recent years.

The Valkyrie was created as part of a collaborative effort by Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing. The technical design lead for the project is renowned Formula 1 designer Adrian Newey. The Valkyrie AMR track model costs more than £3 million, and only 25 will be made.
