2021 Hyundai Creta

News Highlights

  • 2021 Hyundai Creta has started arriving at dealerships
  • The pricing will more or less remain the same
  • It could go on sale from as early as next week in the country

Yesterday, we told you that Hyundai India is planning to add new features in some of the variants of the Creta SUV. The company has also removed multiple features from the base E variant of the SUV. The testament to the aforementioned information was a mule of Hyundai Creta E which was spotted at one of the company's dealerships in the country. Recently, Kia India had launched the updated 2021 Seltos in the Indian market with several changes to the feature list of multiple variants and now, it seems its sister concern Hyundai is walking the same path.

Going by the images clicked by our friends at Rushlane, one can clearly see that the 2021 Hyundai Creta E loses out on several features in the form of electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn-indicators, front seat-back pockets and luggage lamp. The electrically adjustable units are replaced by manual ones and they are now repositioned onto the front fenders. As we can see that the entry-level E trim has lost out on multiple features, the other variants EX and S have gained a couple of features. They now boast of wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity instead of pairing with the Smartphone through a wired cable with the touchscreen infotainment system of the Creta.

The top-end variants SX and SX (O) get an updated version of the touchscreen infotainment unit with OTA (over-the-air) updates and voice commands. In addition, the company is offering the Smart key with a new design and remote engine start functionality. The dashboard received a soft color finish as standard in both these variants. Mechanically, the South Korean brand has refrained from making any updates in the SUV. The 2021 Hyundai Creta will be powered by the same 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L turbocharged diesel and a 1.4L T-GDi petrol engines. The transmission options will also remain the same in the form of a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic units, while a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox can be availed with the 1.4L turbo petrol engine.
