2020 Tata Nexon

Tata Motors introduced Nexon in the Indian market in 2017. It quickly became one of the most favourite subcompact SUVs among the Indian consumers. The customised Tata Nexon is also in much demand. The sub 4-meter SUV was recently modified into an American style cop car. Keeping up with the customisation stuff, a recent set of rendering showcases the Nexon as an off-roader. Tata Nexon is a capable car in itself but the max it can navigate is muddy roads. Tata Nexon is based on a monocoque platform but the rendering Artist Alen Sam Joseph has conceptualised it as an off-roader car.

Tata Nexon off-roader's appeal increases significantly with the addition of customised wheels and off-road tyres. The Rendered SUV looks every bit an off-roader with the huge bull-bar bumper, hidden winch and roof-mounted spotlights. The rear fascia is equipped with off-road specific bumper to provide protection for the car but decreases the ground clearance. The rendering if implemented properly can make the Nexon fit for handling rough terrains. All depends on the ground clearance and FWD traction of the stock Nexon. It will be interesting to see a Tata Nexon off-roader in future in India.

Tata Nexon Facelift was recently launched in the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs 6.95 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India). Tata Nexon petrol variant is Rs 22,000 and diesel model is Rs 56,000 more expensive than the older BS4 model. The key design updates are the revamped front fascia and upright look to comply with the new pedestrian safety act coming into play later in the year.

The Nexon facelift features a five-seater cabin which is finished in dual-tone fabric upholstery with multi-functional steering wheel, cruise control and electric sunroof as some of the key features. It is equipped with safety features like dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD and speed alert system. If we talk about the performance, Tata Nexon facelift comes with two engines - 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel units. The petrol engine delivers 110bhp of maximum power output and 170Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine belts out 110 bhp of maximum power and 260 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines come coupled to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
