2020 Mahindra Roxor Revealed

Mahindra has launched Roxor's refreshed, 2020 model year. The revised side by side that is offered on the North American market is receiving changes in style and more functionality. The major change in style is an all-new grille on the Roxor. It gets honeycomb panels and removes the conventional seven-slat Jeep-like style, likely because of the current court battle among FCA and Mahindra over the overall jeep-like nature of the Roxor. There were very few improvements to the aesthetics of the Roxor apart from the grille. Incidentally, the new style appears to be motivated by the Land Cruiser FJ series of the 1970s.

Mahindra is marketing the Roxor with a 2.5 liter 62hp diesel engine paired to either a 5-speed manual or an automatic gearbox with a 6-speed torque converter. Because of the stringent rules for side-by-side off-road vehicles, it has a top speed of around 88kph for the North American market; otherwise the Roxor would've been classified as just an off-road vehicle, inappropriate for normal roads.

The Roxor 2020 comes with a 2-speed gearbox, full-floating axles with improved 5.38:1 drive, leaf springs, front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, stock 16-inch wheels, and up to seven choices for color tone. The business also has a number of customization options for the Roxor and the brand is gradually seeing an increasing follow-up cult of adventurers on the off-road. The side-by-side off-road Roxor designed in Auburn Hills, Michigan developed by Mahindra Automotive North America (MANA), which is the US arm of Mahindra.

The Roxor is originally priced at USD 15,999 for the 5-speed manual model, whereas in the North American domestic market, the automatic version costs USD 16,999 (ex-showroom).

Mahindra has confirmed that it will have a large pavilion to be held in Noida early next month at the upcoming Auto Expo20. However, as previously expected, the business will not be launching the second-gen Thar at the case.
